First and Foremost let's learn a little about Chaka Khan...

Chaka Khan was born and raised in the rough Southside housing projects of Chicago, Illinois on March 23, 1953. She is a 10-time Grammy Award-winning American singer-songwriter whose career has spanned four decades, beginning in the 1970s as the front woman and focal point of the Funk band Rufus. Often cited as the Queen of Funk, Khan has sold an estimated 200 million records worldwide.

Chaka Khan is most notable for her Music! But she has definitely set the bar with her style and fashion!

Khan has been mentioned by many Fashion Forward celebrities in the industry to this day. When asked who her "Style inspiration" was... Fashion Icon Solange Knowles said "70s Chaka Khan!"

And we see why!!! 70s Chaka was free spirited and daring! She was a true hippy!
She wore her hair in a huge Afro and she wore tons of Native American Tribal Apparel. She was known to rock feathers and tons of moccasin suede!

Chaka Khan was known for her Coca Cola Body Frame and boy!!! did she love to show off those curves!

In the 70s, her style was all about the bohemian midriff style! She wore tan suedes, fringes, and feathers.

In the 80s, she showed of her figure in sexy, rocker-style pieces with shoulders exposed and legs on full display.

In the New Millennium Chaka has managed to transform her style to fit the styles and trends of today! Rocking leathers, body cons dresses, catsuits, and metallic pieces! Although she is still known to show a little cleavage here and there, she grown to wear a style fit for a mature woman of her age.
