Black History Month is a time of Remembrance. It's the time where black people can see how far they have come and focus on where they are going. This February the "Color of the Runway" Fashion Show took Middle Tennessee State University by storm. The show was designed to inspire, cultivate, and capture the black students of MTSU's attention and to bring to light how black people stayed fashionable even through the ups and downs.
To kick off the Show was a Red Carpet event that begin at 6pm. Above (Arionna White, Zaria Walker, Danni Bowden, and our very own Al'leta LaShan) took hold of the Red Carpet in some very trendy outfits. Al'leta LaShan is wearing a long sleeve fitted yellow dress from Forever 21. Gray Fur vest from H&M. Black and white stripped clutch and Besty Johnson Rose gold watch from Dillards and black lace chocker from Forever 21. Leopard print heels from Plato's closet and Rounded-wide from glasses from Oz's Hair Store in Chattanooga.

The "Color of the Runway" Fashion Show covered fashion from 1865 to today in 2017. The one responsible for all the excitement is a Sophomore at MTSU name BrèYhana Johnson. She wanted to show black history in a new light that showed people how black people continued to rise to the occasion.

The show begin with the singing of the Black National Anthem by two wonderful ladies, (above left to right) Charity Cole and Hannah McKinny.
Just some wonder photos of BrèYhana Johnson who did an amazing job of bringing the show together and taking MTSU by Storm.
