First and Foremost let's learn a little about Our Style Icon...
Oprah Winfrey was born January 29, 1954 in a town in Mississippi. Most people know Oprah was not given a storybook childhood. Her mother was a housemaid and her father a coal miner which later was discovered to be an army officer. At age 13, she ran away from home after being sexual abuse by family members and a family friend. By the age of 14, she became preganant and her son died shortly after birth.
She attending Lincoln Highschool for a while but then later she transferred to Nicolet High School due to her success in a learning program, Upward Bound. Later, she was moved once again by her mother to the state of Tennessee. She lived with a man name Vernon, who was strict but very encouraging towards her education. In Nashville, she became a honor student, voted most popular, and won in a oratory competion that secured her a full scholarship at Tennessee State University. Even though, her childhood was not "picture perfect" her teenage years for young Oprah were her prime.
Age 17, won the Miss Black Tennessee pagent.
With all her new success she attracted the attention of WVOL, Nashville's local radio station, were she worked her senior year in highschool then some college years as a part time job. Oprah gives huge credit to her grandmother who she stated, "gave me a positive sense of myself". Oprah Winfrey did not stop there, for her it was just the beginning.
But what's makes these gowns and everyday outfits so bold and magnificent?! I will have to say the color palette Oprah's stylist uses to go along with the season. The rich reds and blues of winter and warming orange of the spring and fall.
