Lucille Ball: Better Known as... "I LOVE LUCY!"❤ Lucille Ball, The Actress, The Style Icon, The Model, The Producer, The Comedian, The Wife, and The Mother...





Today on Edwina LaShan Fashion Blog we Pay tribute to Our Fashion Icon Lucille Ball... 




Best known for her comical acting on The 1960's Family Sitcom, "I Love Lucy" alongside her Cuban husband of 20 years Desi Arnaz. 




Lucille Ball is known for her curly red hair, which she normally wore swooped and pinned in a classic pin up style! Her big gorgeous blue eyes! Long, beautiful, thick eyelashes! Her ability to wear a red lip, and a polka dot dress, with sophisticated vintage pearls!  



Her personality charmed people of the masses because of her way to always use her fast paced speaking voice to get herself out of some type of drama mess with her husband, Rico Ricardo, on the "I Love Lucy" show! Lucy could talk herself out of anything! Expecially when she batted her gorgeous eyes and eyelashes to get her way! People loved her comical, lovable, witty, Bubbly and Wacky personality!!! 




Lucille Ball is a style icon due to her classic, and vintage approach to her fashion wardrobe! She was known for her patterned plaid, and polka dot shirt dresses. 






But let's not get it twisted, Lucy knew exactly how to get glamorous in her diamond jewels, furs, and gorgeous silk gowns! 




Lucille Désirée Ball was born August 6, 1911 in Jamestown, NY. She was an American actress, comedian, model, and studio executive.



She was star of the sitcoms I love Lucy, The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, The Lucy Show, Heres Lucy and Life with Lucy. 



She was known as one of the most popular and influential stars in the United States during her lifetime.



Ball had one of Hollywood's longest careers, especially on television. Her film career spanned the 1930s and 1940s, and she became a television star during the 1950s. She continued making films in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1962, Ball became the 1st woman to run a major television studio, Desilu, which produced many successful and popular television series. 



Ball was nominated for an Emmy Award Thirteen times, and won four times.


In 1977, Ball was among the first recipients of the Women in Film Crystal Award. 




She was the recipient of the Golden Globe, and Cecil B. DeMille Award in 1979. She won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Kennedy Center Honors in 1986, and the Governors Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 1989.  




Ball was married twice, once to Cuban Bandleader and fellow castmate/Sitcom husband Desi Arnaz. She met Arnaz in 1940 and they were eloped!



 At the age of 40, on July 17, 1951, Ball gave birth to their first child, Lucie Désirée Arnaz. Ball gave birth to their second child, a year and a half later. Alberto Arnaz IV, known as Desi Arnaz, Jr. Lucilke Ball and Desi Arnaz divorced on May 4, 1960.



On April 26, 1989, Ball died from a dissecting aortic aneurysm at age 77.

When she died she had been married to her second husband and business partner, standup comedian Gary Morton, for more than 27 years.



Although she is no longer alive on this earth, "I Love Lucy" shows have been in high rotation and senecation for years! Lucille Ball is still known as an American Idol for generations and generations to come! She is Style and Pop icon forever!
